Thomas Dellert-Dellacroix as a WW 2 German soldier on the Eastern front.
POEM - No Fields of glory.
Once young as spring and full of hope
Away they marched without a tear
Like a tug of war the pulled the rope
With pride and without fear
First letter home was all in rhyme
Of victory in honor told
Last letter spoke of world war crime
A name a number cold
There was no fields of glory
But of death and cry
Of rotten flesh decay and endless mud
Where soldiers much to young
Where doomed to die
Now speaks of slaughter in a sea of blood.
