On New Years Eve 1989 the Communistic “hammer and sickle” flag was taken down and replaced with the new Russian federation flag in red white and blue. "Back in the U.S.S.R." is also a 1968 song by The Beatles Lennon–McCartney which opens the double-disc album The Beatles, also known as The White Album.
